Pastebin is a simple website that helps you to store a chunk of text for a period of time. It allows to paste code easily, share it with other people. Besides coders, people use it every day to share text in an easy and convenient manner. It’s a popular tool to instantly save something and share it with anyone in seconds. Assure popularly it might have been after 2002, and it got annoying ads, the pro plan is good if you want to get rid of advertisements.
The website is nicely formatted. In recent times, many feedbacks say that Pastebin is not so much user-friendly, cause it’s not for a specific text, it’s for everybody.

If you want, you can even use Paste bin from a console. It has really made easy to do it. It has, even more, functionalities. But hastebin doesn’t guarantee your privacy. Codiad is an IDE framework but it’s on the web! It is actually a mini IDE framework cause it can work with minimal resources, runs on your server and is a paste bin which supports more than 40 languages over 20 syntax color themes, it has a localStorage redundancy and best of them that it has Real-Time collaborative editing. But you must have a server in order to run this IDE Framework, and you must have apache2, PHP 5+ installed on your server.

10. Ghost bin
Update: it is shutting down on May 2019, it appears to be working again.
Ghost bin is one of the most anonymous paste service since its birth. When you have an urge to delete old private pastes came, ghost Bin assured this. It has the ability to edit old private paste too. It has a cool font named ‘Envy’ which is very popular among its users. What more can you expect from an open-source program? It gets your files encrypted, paste up to 1 Mb. It also uses Pygments.
It has support for almost all the languages out there, so syntax highlighting and formatting should be an issue with this nice tool. You can also, set an expiration date and share it with anyone just like Pastebin but what else it offers is password protected snippets so that only people with the password can see your snippets.
Conclusion
So there were some alternatives to Pastebin. Actually, not alternatives but everyone above mentioned have their own features and cons. So you can now choose as per your needs.
