This is the one laptop I recently bought and have been using for my daily purpose. Late 2017 edition of HP Envy 13 looks really minimal with the minimal bezel on the screen and decent build quality. The body looks really recent and easy to hold and have the internal fan on the bottom side. Although the bottom side of this laptop is not scratch resistant after a few days I could notice some scratches which I wish I could remove but that’s not possible and it is heartbreaking to see an expensive Ultrabook with scratches in initial days.
The best version of HP Envy 13 starts with Intel I3 processor and goes to 8th generation i7 8550 Processor. If you need it touch version you can get with extra money in I5 and I7 model, the i7 touch model (which I have, Ad128TU) will cost around some 84k INR which roughly translates to $1,200) good news for those living in the US because you could get the HP Envy 13 Intel I7 4K screen variant for much lesser price.
It has 8GB ddr4 RAM coupled with Intel graphics processor 620 is not recommended for gaming but you can play Road Redemption, Redeemer. planet nomads and more with medium or low graphics settings. As the Intel I7 8th generation processor is powerful enough to run the game and do background process at the same time but you do will notice lags in the game because the variant I have does not have a dedicated graphics card or GPU (A GPU does the graphics process so your computer’s CPU don’t have to) of course you can plug an external GPU but you’re not certainly buying an ultrabook for gaming?
But I do feel for this price HP would have gone more in SSD department, it has only 256GB of SSD (which is fast no doubt) so you’re going to buy an external HDD if you need to store more data. I certainly feel that this is a little overpriced and you can get i7 8th gen in laptops starting with just $800.
